A Bowling Green man arrested for domestic violence and driving while intoxicated was taken to jail.
On Saturday at 9:20 p.m., Bowling Green police were dispatched to Wood County Hospital on a domestic violence complaint that occurred in the 900 block of Wintergarden Road.
The suspect had left the home in the victim’s van, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.
The victim said she was punched more than 10 times and was kicked to the ground by William P. Hunnicutt, 28.
She told police she punched Hunnicutt to protect herself. She said she didn’t want Hunnicutt arrested but wanted him to get help for his drinking problem.
The van was stopped in the 500 block of West Gypsy Lane Road.
Hunnicutt was arrested for domestic violence, OVI, PAC (BAC 0.143) and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
He was taken to jail, where he remained this morning with a $30,000 bond.
