Meet new BG superintendent

The Bowling Green City Schools Board of Education will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

Immediately following the meeting, district staff, studentsand community members are invited to a “meet and greet” with Ted Haselman, who was hired Wednesday as the district’s new superintendent.

At 5 p.m., prior to the meeting, the board will hold a federal program public meeting.

All meetings will be held at the Performing Arts Center, 540 W. Poe Road.

BG Council’s finance committee meets

The finance committee of Bowling Green Council will meet on Monday at 6 p.m. in council chamber in the City Administrative Services Building, 304 N. Church St., to discuss various matters relating to city finances.

Hydrant flushing begins in county

The Northwestern Water and Sewer District will be flushing and testing fire hydrants May 22-June 16 in Weston, Custar, Milton Center and Ohio 23 out of Fostoria north to the Carter Steel facility. Cygnet flushing will be May 30-June 2.

Testing will be performed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Residents may experience rusty water during this period and should run tap water prior to using water for laundry purposes. Rust removing chemicals may be obtained at the district’s office, 12560 Middleton Pike, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. BG transit committee meets Tuesday

The Bowling Green Transit Advisory Committee will meet on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., in the City Administrative Services Building, 304 N. Church St.

The purpose of the meeting will be to review marketing, fiscal and operating reports for the 1st Quarter CY 2023, and other transit operating and grant topics.

Immediately following the meeting, the Vehicle Accident Prevention Sub-Committee meeting will be held. This meeting is open to the public.

Port authority meets Monday

The Wood County Port Authority will meet Monday at 7:30 a.m. at Northwestern Water & Sewer District, 12560 Middleton Pike.
