A Bowling Green man has been arrested for possession of crack cocaine.

On Saturday at 12:04 a.m., a Bowling Green police officer observed a vehicle driving around the perimeter of the Woodland Mall parking lot.

The vehicle pulled up to a parking spot in the southeast lot and the officer left via North Main Street. The officer then noticed the vehicle circling the lot again, according to a Bowling Green Police Division report.

The officer entered the facility from Newton Road, caught up with the vehicle then hit the cruiser’s airhorn.

The vehicle stopped and the officer recognized the driver as David Duty and that he was actively smoking from a glass pipe, according to the report.

A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted. During the search, a glass pipe with residue, a piece from a tire pressure gauge Duty said he used as a push rod, and three rocks of crack cocaine were located.

Duty, 35, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of crack cocaine. He was taken to jail.
