0

The Wood County Museum’s assistant events coordinator Alex Hutchings is the speaker for the upcoming Tea & Talk Series on May 18 at 2 p.m. at the museum, 13660 County Home Road.

The May tea is titled “Underwear Etiquette” and is a discussion about how literature was rampant with guidelines on how to conduct one’s self; underwear was a central subject of this genre. A glimpse of an ankle, naked shoulders, an untied cravat – learn about the social protocols of hidden clothing.

The Museum is partnering with the Summer Kitchen. The featured tea selection is called “Cucumber Lemon Refresher” a Refreshing herbal tea with cucumber and bright lemon flavor with subtle apple notes and hints of spicy ginger.

Reservations and payment need completed by May 14. There are two methods for payment. Either call 419-352-0967 and museum staff can assist or visit woodcountyhistory.org to pay online.

Admission includes tea and light refreshments by local caterer Carpe Diem out of Pemberville and program. Member pricing is $25, while non-member and special diet meals (gluten free or vegan) are $30. All ticket sales are final. Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
