Falcons place third in Oxford

OXFORD, Ohio – The Bowling Green men’s golf team continued its spring season at a tri-match with two Miami (OH) teams and Northern Kentucky, placing third out of four teams.

The one-day, 36-hole event was held at the Hueston Woods Golf Course, a par-72, 7,044-yard course.

Connor Gdovin (67-71-138) finished second after shooting 6-under par. Darin Hudak (72-70-142) finished sixth on the day after shooting 2-under.

Tom Bell (79-77-147) finished tied for 12th and Brandon Rattray (77-76-153) finished tied for 19th. Ethan Irvine (74-80-154) rounded out the BGSU lineup tied 21st.

Playing as individuals, Dylan Fitchet (74-79-153) tied for 19th, Brady Pevarnik (78-77-155) finished 23rd and Roni Shin (81-79-169) finished 27th.

Gdovin was second in the tri-match with nine birdies, while Hudak was fifth with seven birdies. Rattray was fourth with 26 pars. Gdovin was second in the match on par-4 shooting at 3-under, while also shooting 3-under on par-5 scoring.

Miami (276-281-557) won the event, followed by Northern Kentucky (283-292-575), BGSU (283-294-577) and the Miami B Team (296-296-592)

The Falcons return to action at Bellarmine’s Ernie Dehnam Classic April 3-4 in Louisville, Ky.
