Brent Alan Smith, age 58, of Havelock, North Carolina, formerly of Risingsun, Ohio passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern, North Carolina. He was born on July 28, 1964, in Toledo, Ohio to the late Warren A. & Marilyn M. (Heckathorn) Smith.
Surviving Brent are his siblings, Susan, Wayne, Carol & Brian. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren & Marilyn, and sister, Joann.
Brent was a 1983 graduate of Lakota High School, and then served his country proudly in the United States Navy. He was owner and operator of A to Z Appliance and Plumbing for many years, and was also working for Carteret Craven Real Estate.
Brent’s family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all the doctors and nurses at the Carolina East Medical Center for the wonderful care Brent received.
