Account helps family of Bradner teen killed in crash

A GoFundMe account has been set up to help pay for the funeral expenses of a Bradner teen killed in a crash on Tuesday in Oak Harbor.

As of 10 p.m. Thursday, $7,365 had been raised, with a goal of $10,000.

Skylar Roberts, who worked a local dairy farm and played softball, was killed in the crash. Survivors include her father, mother and three brothers.

The three-vehicle crash occurred on Ohio 163 at North Toussaint Portage Road at 12:08 p.m., according to the Sandusky post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Roberts, driving a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck by an eastbound 1996 Kenworth commercial truck driven by John Kunkel, 58, Howard, Ohio, according to the patrol.

Both vehicles went off the north side of Route 163, and struck the westbound 2020 Ford van driven by Michael Hudson, 36, Bedford.

Roberts was pronounced dead at the scene.

Kunkel and Hudson had minor injuries.
