A Bowling Green man was arrested when he reportedly became violent after he was revived from a possible overdose with Narcan.

Bowling Green police on Sunday were dispatched at 10:49 p.m. to the 300 block of Parkview Drive for a possible overdose.

The caller said a man had shown up at the home and was in the shed. He reported the man was in and out of consciousness.

Clay Downs, 23, denied taking any drugs and told police he was fine.

He then stopped talking and went in and out of consciousness, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

EMS administered Narcan and transported him to the hospital, according to the report.

Downs reportedly refused to cooperate with hospital staff and tried to pull off medical equipment.

On the way to jail, he reportedly slammed his head into the partition and kicked the seat and the door.

Downs was charged with disorderly conduct/intoxicated-unable to care for self. He was released Monday on an own recognizance bond.
