2 killed in crash on Ohio 199

PEMBERVILLE — Two Fostoria residents were killed in a one-vehicle crash on Saturday on Ohio 199.

The crash occurred at 5:34 a.m. in the 15000 block of Route 199, according to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office.

Their initial investigation said that a single vehicle traveling southbound drove off the east side of the road and struck a culvert and a tree.

Rodney Reiter, 80, and Bette Reiter, 75 were pronounced dead at the scene.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by Pemberville Fire and EMA and Howards Towing.

BG church offers drive-thru community dinner

Free and open to the public, the monthly drive-thru community meal and food distribution hosted by First Christian Church of Bowling Green is on Friday from 5-6 p.m. This month’s menu includes a loaded baked potato with cheese, broccoli, bacon, sour cream and butter, applesauce and cookie.

Food bags, toiletries and breads and pastries will be available at no charge.

Volunteers will take orders from vehicles, hand deliver the meal(s), and direct participants to the groceries, bread and pastries.
