The Victory Center’s hallmark event, Luncheon & Fashion Show presented by Mercy Health, will take place on Friday at the Hilton Garden Inn at Levis Commons in Perrysburg; This year’s theme is “Glamorous in Glitter.”
The event is a complete sell-out.
Each year, the event begins with a social hour followed by a gourmet lunch and a fabulous, New York-style fashion show choreographed by Katie Maskey and Jess Martin. Eight survivor models share their stories on the stage before taking a victory walk down the runway. Each survivor is then joined by ‘”riend of The Victory Center” models, including local oncologists, Victory Center therapists and volunteers, and local celebrities.
Walking the 72-foot runway this year are Kristian Brown of 13 ABC, Caylee Kirby and Dan Cummins of WTOL 11, and Riley Runnells (daughter of emcee, Chrys Peterson).
This year’s featured speaker is Jen Straley, who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in August of 2021 while she was 23 weeks pregnant.
The Victory Center was founded in 1996 to support and educate cancer patients and those closest to them by providing programs and services aimed at meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those touched by cancer. Services are provided at no cost to patients, and all donations are fully tax deductible.
