Bingo numbers will be in Saturday papers

Beginning Saturday, the Sentinel-Tribune’s daily bingo numbers will be published for the week in the Saturday edition.

For example, the Feb. 25 newspaper will have bingo numbers for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for the upcoming week. On Saturday, March 4, the bingo numbers for March 4-10 will appear in that day’s publication.

More Perrysburg livestreaming expands begins March 1

PERRYSBURG — The city will soon be transitioning to the livestreaming of additional committee meetings.

In August, the city began livestreaming the bi-weekly council meetings through CivicClerk, which offers a streamlined workflow for municipal employees and allows the public to access information quicker and more intuitively.

Starting March 1, in addition to council, the following meetings will also be livestreamed: Board of zoning appeals, historic landmarks commission, planning commission, finance and economic development, service, safety, personnel, planning and zoning, utilities, and recreation committees.

These additional meetings have always been recorded, but the videos would not be on the website until after the meetings were over. Citizens will now be able to watch the regularly scheduled meetings in real-time on the city’s website. A recording of the meetings will still be available afterward.

Furniture artist talks to Exchange Club

Ellen Fure Smith, owner of Little Bare Furniture, will share her story and vision at noon on Tuesday with BG Exchange Club at the Bowling Green Country Club, 923 Fairview Ave.

With Little Bare Furniture, Fure Smith utilizes her artistic woodworking skills and techniques to design children’s furniture. She additionally creates furniture and artwork for clients. She is originally from Lexington, Virginia. She is a graduate of Marshall University’s School of Art and Design.

Fure Smith and her family have lived in Bowling Green since 2013. She has exhibited at the Black Swamp Arts Festival, winning multiple awards. She has also won awards Toledo’s Art on the Mall, Sylvania’s Maple on Main and the Northwest Ohio Juried exhibition. Her work has been on display at numerous galleries in Ohio and at her alma mater.

She is known locally as the primary builder of the downtown parklets.

The club will also be honoring the Exchange/Penta Career Center Student for February.

Members should bring items to donate to the Care Packages for the local National Guard Unit. These are due to Jenny Swope by March 9. The Greater Maumee Bay Exchange Club is competing with the club and, as of last week, is pulling ahead in the competition.

Custar board will meet Wednesday

CUSTAR — The Village of Custar’s Board of Public Affairs will be moving the monthly meeting to Wednesday at 7 p.m. It will be held at the American Legion Hall, 9155 Custar Road.
