Perrysburg’s Recker places third at state diving

CANTON — Perrysburg senior Owen Recker finished third and classmate Trevor Madigan finished eighth during the Division I state diving meet Wednesday at C.T. Branin Natatorium.

Recker had a score of 245.1 at the preliminaries and 382.85 in the semifinals for a total score of 541.5, and Madigan scored 235.3-346.9—449.2.

Solon diver Dominic Roberto won the state championship with a 251.85-419.55—600.4 score and New Albany’s Hamesh Patel (250.95-384.25—552.45) was state runner-up.
