TOLEDO — Perrysburg won the Northern Lakes League gymnastics championship at Exceleration Gymnastics Center in Toledo.
Perrysburg scored 138.65 points, followed by Anthony Wayne (134.65), Sylvania Northview (133.525), Napoleon (128.25), Maumee (127.55) and Springfield (115.4).
First team gymnasts are Northview senior Taylor Wachowiak, Perrysburg junior Ava Kincaid, Perrysburg senior Emma Palmer, Maumee senior Elisa Borello, and AW senior Emily Liskai.
Second team are Northview junior Olivia Moriarty, Napoleon senior Paige Weaver, Perrysburg senior Raegan Ruehle, AW sophomore Josie Fuerstenau, AW senior Anna Grabarczyk, Maumee senior Courtney Crawford, Perrysburg freshman Janie Snyder, AW senior Kennedy Kehres, Springfield sophomore Katie Mason, Napoleon freshman Jessica Patterson and Northview junior Elizabeth Sorg.
Third team All-NLL are Perrysburg sophomore Kenna Hire, AW junior Kara Wagner, Napoleon senior Ella Cordes, Northview senior Cayla Hoffman, AW freshman McKenna Hanneman, Perrysburg sophomore Valerie Ward, Napoleon junior Jenna Sherry, Perrysburg sophomore Lauren Cline, Perrysburg freshman Abbi Lee, Napoleon freshman Bella Bingham, and Maumee sophomore Kylie Gerken.
Perrysburg gymnast Ava Kincaid won the bars with a score of 9.15. She was followed by Northview’s Taylor Wachowiak (9.0), Perrysburg’s Emma Palmer (8.5), AW’s Emily Kiskai (8.325), and Perrysburg’s Raegan Ruehle (8.3).
The next five in the bars were AW’s Josie Fuerstenau (8.25), a tie between AW’s McKenna Hanneman and Northview’s Olivia Moriarty (8.1), a tie between Perrysburg’s Valerie Ward (8.025) and Napoleon’s Jessica Patterson (8.025), Napoleon’s Jenna Sherry (7.975), and AW’s Brûlée Schumerhorn (7.925).
In the All-Around, Kincaid (35.875) placed second to Wachowiak (36.475), who was named the NLL Gymnast of the Year.
Palmer (35.375) was third, followed by Moriarty (33.775), Patterson (32.325), Napoleon’s Elizabeth Sorg (31.825), Sherry (31.625), a tie between Napoleon gymnasts Bella Bingham and Paige Weaver (31.325), Maumee’s Kylie Gerken (30.925) and AW’s Addison Potkanowicz (30.675).
Wachowiak won the vault with a 9.3 followed by Kincaid (9.0), Palmer (8.9), Moriarty (8.7), AW’s Kennedy Kehres (8.425), Weaver (8.325), a tie between Northview’s Cayla Hoffman and Maumee’s Elisa Borello (8.3), AW’s Kara Wagner (8.25), Perrysburg’s Kenna HIre (8.25), Napoleon’s Ella Cordes (8.2) and AW’s Leah Taylor (8.175).
Maumee’s Elisa Borello (9.125) won the beam, followed by Wachowiak (9.1), Liskai (8.95), Palmer (8.8), AW’s Anna Grabarczyk (8.75), a tie between Maumee’s Courtney Crawford and Perrysburg’s Janie Snyder (8.6), Kincaid (8.5), Perrysburg’s Lauren Cline (8.475), Moriarty (8.35) and Taylor (8.325).
Liskai won the floor with a 9.425, followed by Kincaid (9.225), Palmer (9.175), Wachowiak (9.075), Springfield’s Katie Mason (9.0), Kehres (8.85), a tie between Borello and Snyder (8.825), Perrysburg’s Abi Lee (8.825), Hire (8.775), Bingham (8.75), and Maumee’s Avery Fowler (8.7).
The district meet is also at Exceleration Gymnastics Center, Toledo, on Feb. 25.
