Ottawa-Glandorf rolls past Eastwood

PEMBERVILLE — Defending Division III state runner-up Ottawa-Glandorf, ranked third in this year’s Associated Press state poll, routed Eastwood Tuesday, 84-42.

Six-foot-4 junior power forward Caden Erford led O-G with 29 points, including seven three-point goals, and 6-5 junior Colin White had three more triples on his way to scoring 17 points.

Neither of them played in the fourth quarter after the Titans had built a 74-32 lead after three quarters with a running clock operating most of the second half. The Eagles finished with 21 turnovers while O-G had 13.

Case Boos, who also did not play in the fourth quarter, led Eastwood with 20 points, including four triples.

Brady Weaver scored seven points, Noah Smith, Tristan Schuerman, Kadyn Donnell, and Quinten Farmer scored three points each for the Eagles. Andrew Badenhop scored two points and Aaron Thompson added one point.

Theo Maag scored nine points, Brad Maag and Ryan Ross scored six points each, Nolan Unterbrink scored five points, and Grant Schroeder added two points for the Titans.

O-G, which is unbeaten at 8-0 in the Western Buckeye League, improves to 18-3 while Eastwood falls to 14-7.
