Bowling Green police are investigation a sexual assault that allegedly happened over the weekend.
Officers were called Sunday at 1:30 a.m. to a downtown bar.
A 20-year-old woman said that she was raped at a downtown bar. She was hyperventilating and said she was having a panic attack, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.
She and a friend were transported to the police station. Once there, she told officers she was at a bar, when an unknown man came up behind her and pushed her against the bar. She said the man pulled down her pants and underwear. She said she pulled her pants back up, and he called her a vulgar name.
She said he again pulled her pants down and assaulted her.
She and the friend left that bar and went to another downtown bar to call police, according to the report.
The woman told police she did not know the man.
Her friends described him as white, 6 feet, 300 pounds, bald with glasses and a dark beard, according to the report.
Much of the police report was redacted as the incident remains under investigation.
The woman was taken to the hospital.
