At Bowling Green State University’s Slater Family Arena Saturday, Lake routed the Springfield “Blue Devils” club hockey team, 11-1, in a Northwest Hockey Conference White Division matchup.

Forwards Clay Soltis and James Bickley scored four goals apiece for Lake, including one power play goal by Soltis. Bickley also had an assist for a nine-point game.

Lake scored six goals in the first period, one in the second, and four in the third and coach Craig Horvath’s team did not commit a penalty the entire game.

Forwards Ben Loomis, Spencer Varnes, and Mason Jardine had one goal and one assist each.

Lake forward Toby Ruch had three assists, forward Ashton Graham had two assists, and forward Jacob Harder, and defensemen Eli Moody and Dallas Staton contributed with one assist each.

Daniel Beck scored the Blue Devils only goal unassisted in the first period.

Lake is 13-4-1 overall and a perfect 6-0 in the league while Springfield is 2-15-1 and 0-4-1.
