MILLBURY — Lake Township Trustee Ken Gilsdorf has announced he will not seek another term.

“I want to put the rumors to rest. I will not seek reelection and a third term as Lake Township Trustee,” he said in a statement Friday.

“I’m 76 years old and have In public affairs or politics for almost 30 years and It’s time to take a step back. I told Lake Township officials in my campaign three years ago that this would be my last four years.”

Gilsdorf, who is chairman of the trustees, would have been on the November ballot, if he was running again.

He plans on spending time with his three grandchildren and traveling. Gilsdorf said he will also be devoting more time to the Wood County Committee On Aging and Walbridge VFW Post 9963.

“I will continue to be a member of the Wood County Republican Party and support and campaign for conservative candidates and conservative values,” he said. “I’m proud of the accomplishments we have made in the township the last seven years and all I see on the horizon are good things for Lake Township.”
