Prep Roundup: Eastwood 76, Woodmore 72

PEMBERVILLE—Eastwood 6-foot-2 senior forward Brady Weaver scored 32 points in leading the Eagles to a 76-72 double overtime win over Woodmore in Northern Buckeye Conference play Friday.

After the score was tied 57-57 at the end of regulation, Weaver scored 12 points in the two overtimes to lead Eastwood. He was 12 field goals and was 8-for-12 from the free throw line.

Eastwood improves to 8-4 overall and 5-2 in the league while Woodmore falls to 2-9 and 2-5.

Noah Smith hit four three-point shots to score 17 for Eastwood, and Andrew Badenhop scored nine points, and Tristan Schuerman and Daquan Oliver added seven points each.

Caleb Souder scored three points and Andre Lewis added one point to round out the Eagles’ scoring.

Eastwood led 32-20 at halftime, and were still up 47-39 after three quarters, but Woodmore outscored the Eagles 18-10 in the fourth quarter to force extra play.

The Wildcats had three triples in the fourth quarter by Jack Everett, Brady Thatcher and Liam McCarthy.

Everett finished scoring 22 points, Luke Morris scored 21, and Jon Everett scored 13 to lead the Wildcats. Thatcher scored seven, McCarthy scored six, and Izaiah Wilson added four points.

The Eagles were 20-for-32 from the line and had 17 turnovers and the Wildcats were 12-for-17 from the line and had 14 turnovers.
