Cash collector: Man turns in twenties that were blowing around parking lot

A man got more than groceries after finding $20 bills blowing around the Meijer parking lot in Bowling Green on Thursday.

The Bowling Green Police Division took a report of money blowing in the parking lot on East Wooster Street at 4:20 p.m.

The man, who had been shopping in the store, noticed the cash as he was walking to his vehicle in the parking lot.

He collected around $240 and drove to the police station on West Wooster Street.

An officer spoke with a Brinks employee, who was at an ATM in the Meijer parking lot. The employee said she was trying to fill the ATM when the money started blowing away.

The employee was unsure how much was missing.

Escapee wanted by patrol caught in W. Virginia

COLUMBUS – A man who escaped from law enforcement custody at a hospital was located in West Virginia.

On Monday at 11:34 p.m., Jacob Davidson was taken into custody near Chapmanville, West Virginia, according to a press release by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

On Thursday, Davidson escaped from Twin Valley Behavioral Heath Hospital, 2200 W. Broad St.

Davidson was being held on numerous felony charges in relation to a Nov. 10 shooting in Morrow County, that led to an officer-involved shooting with the Bucyrus Police Department.

The patrol thanked the public for their assistance, as well as the United States Marshal Service, West Virginia State Police, Knox County Sheriff’s Office and Detective Bureau, Licking County Sheriff’s Office, Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and the Columbus Division of Police.
