A woman has reported being inappropriately touched while in a downtown bar.

On Wednesday at approximately 2:40 a.m. a Bowling Green Police Division officer was flagged down by two women in the 100 block of East Wooster Street.

A woman told police she was walking out the back of the bar when someone smacked her butt and then slid their hand forward and grabbed between her legs, according to the report.

The officer reviewed footage from downtown cameras. The officer observed a male matching the description provided walk southbound across Court Street into City Lot 1 at 2:13 a.m.

The man continued to walk southbound, out of camera view. That man then came back into camera view and got into a red Pontiac Sunfire convertible at approximately 2:24 a.m. He headed west onto Court Street before turning northbound onto North Main Street.

The officer was able to get a partial plate when the vehicle stopped at that intersection and got the name matching the plate and the description of the car. The BMV photo matched the description given by the women.

The incident is under investigation.
