A construction worker died of natural causes at a city worksite Wednesday.

At approximately 4:39 p.m., police were notified of an unresponsive male not breathing at a construction site in the 500 block of South Dunbridge Road.

The Bowling Green police officer was flagged down upon arrival and taken to a male on the ground on the north side of the complex.

The man was later identified as Keith Hall, 63, of Ottawa, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

The site foreman was on the phone with the 911 dispatcher and attempting to provide aid. The officer started chest compressions and then noticed vomit pooled in Hall’s mouth and nose, according to the report.

The officer turned Hall on his side to empty out his mouth and then turned him back on his back and continued to give compressions until Bowling Green EMS arrived and took over CPR.

Hall was loaded into the squad and taken to Wood County Hospital.

No one at the construction site could tell police when the last time they saw Hall up and moving around and no one saw him actually go to the ground, according to the report.

He was found on the ground by the crew.
