Dinner and a show in Perrysburg: ‘It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play’

PERRYSBURG — Spotlight Gala 2022 is an inaugural Perrysburg High School varsity thespian showcase event featuring a live theater performance and festive dinner.

“It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” and a full buffet dinner will be offered in the Perrysburg Schools Commodore Building on Saturday. Two performance/dinner times are available.

George Bailey’s tale of love, loss and redemption mixes an exuberant cast and a wealth of seasonal songs into a radio days hit come to life.

Freddie Filmore will be portrayed by Joshua Kennedy, Jake Laurents by Owen Dennis, Harry “Jazzbo” Heywood by Clayton Snyder, Sally Applewhite by Marissa Zuccarell and Lana Sherwood by Katie Kleeberger.

A matinee will be offered with a 2 p.m. performance and 4 p.m. dinner seating and an evening performance at 5:30 p.m. with a dinner seating at 7 p.m.

This fundraising event is organized by Perrysburg High School Theatre Department and Perrysburg Theatre Boosters.

The Foley artists, who will provide additional voices, include Matilda Dalton and Dominic Navarro.

The Jingle singers/carolers include Max Baca as announcer 1, Evan Boyers as announcer 2, Clara Burkin, Aleah Castillo, Jevaun Thomas and Mira Zarobinski.

Crew members in charge of the set and costumes are Leah Bohnsack, Camren Ray, Evan Skiver, Jasmine Smith, Natalie Lusch and Lily Streicher.
