CASA volunteers needed to help Wood County children

Join the Wood County CASA staff at a Virtual Volunteer Information Session on Thursday at 1 p.m.

Learn the role of CASA volunteers and how to become involved in Wood County.

Those who are unable to attend a session or would prefer a one-on-one conversation about this volunteer opportunity, call 419-352-3554 or email at [email protected].

CASA volunteers advocate for the best interest of children who have experienced abuse and neglect, some of whom are in foster care.

CASAs get to know the child and their family and make recommendations to the court regarding services and placement to help families remain strong.

Volunteers must be 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, complete an extensive background check, and participate in 30 hours of pre-service training. The average CASA volunteer donates 5-10 hours per month to their CASA case.
