To the Editor:
In regards to the exciting front page news Saturday, “Pastor has Progressive Vision,” it alarms me.
In God’s word, the Bible, Jesus says,” You have my commandments, he who obeys them loves me, and he that loves me will be loved by my Father.” (John 14:21).
In the book of Genesis, God created man in his own image. Later God took a rib from the man and created woman. Then God stated in Genesis 2:24, ” Man will leave his mother and father and cleave to his wife and they shall be one.” Later, God commands the man and woman to multiply and replenish the earth.
There are well over 40 verses in the Bible that state,” I (God) formed you in your mother’s womb.” God created us either male or female, and only the female has a womb to form a child of God.
In Romans 1, “ Woman will do to another woman what is natural between a woman and a man, and the wrath of God will be upon them. Man will do to man what is natural between man and woman, and the wrath of God will be upon them, and they will be inflected with diseases. And the wrath of God will be upon all those who approve of these things.”
Genesis 18 and 19 gives the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. Historians believe there were 250,000 people living in the cities. God’s wrath was upon the two cities for their gay marriages and sex orgies. God rained down fire upon those cities.
In closing, Mathew 7:21, Jesus says, “Not everyone who says Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of God, but only those who actually do the will of my Father will be allowed to enter Heaven.”
I personally have read the Bible, cover to cover. I’m not excited by the progressive vision, but sadden.
