MILLBURY — Lake volleyball improved to 23-0 with a 25-4, 25-4, 25-2 Division II tournament victory over Toledo Scott Tuesday.
Lake leaders were Kylee Pietrzak with 10 assists, Sydney Brown with 11 aces, Keira Magers with eight kills and Sydney Marchetto with nine aces.
Lake will host Rossford on Thursday at 6 p.m. for the right to advance to the district tournament. Rossford (11-12) swept visiting Toledo Woodward Tuesday, 25-6, 25-4, 25-11.
At Seneca East High School, the Lake-Rossford winner will take on the Clyde-Sandusky Perkins winner in a district semifinal.
Otsego 9, Rossford 3
TONTOGANY — Otsego took a 3-1 halftime lead, and then scored six second half goals to defeat Rossford, 9-3, in a Division II tournament game Tuesday.
Abby Eberly scored five goals for the Knights, Kaylee Eberly scored three and Kamryn Hollar added one goal.
Rossford’s season ends at 4-13. Otsego, 4-12, will advance to take on Oak Harbor (10-5-2) on the Rockets’ pitch Saturday at noon.
Lake seeks football, track coach
MILLBURY — Lake High School is seeking a head varsity football coach for the 2023-24 school year and an assistant varsity track coach for this spring. Preference is for someone with high school coaching experience.
