COLUMBUS, Ohio — State Sen, Theresa Gavarone, R-Bowling Green, was recently chosen to serve on the Council of State Government Justice Center’s Advisory Board.

Gavarone was chosen for her commitment to creating policy for Ohio that increases public safety and strengthens communities, according to a press release.

“I am so honored to be chosen for this important role,” Gavarone said. “I look forward to being a voice that will continue to work collaboratively with law enforcement and the legal community on policies that will best keep Ohioans safe.”

“We are excited and honored that Sen. Gavarone has joined the CSG Justice Center Advisory Board,” said Megan Quattlebaum, director of the CSG Justice Center. “We are thrilled that the senator will bring her extensive experience representing her community, on both the city and state level, on issues like mental health care access, school safety, and other key justice issues. Her expertise and insight will be a great asset to our advisory board as it guides the priorities of the CSG Justice Center and helps shape criminal justice policy across the country.”

CSG Justice Center is a national, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization representing state officials in all three branches of government, with policy and research expertise to develop strategies that increase public safety and strengthen communities.
