TONTOGANY — In a Northern Buckeye Conference volleyball match Thursday, Otsego swept Elmwood 25-22, 25-20, 25-18. Otsego improves to 6-3 overall and 5-1 in the league while Elmwood falls to 4-7 and 1-5.

For Otsego, junior Emily Genson had 12 kills and 14 digs and junior Faith Keifer had six aces, 18 assists, and 16 digs.

Otsego junior Addysen Limes had four aces, junior Calista Wilkins had two block assists, and senior Kylee Baranski had 14 assists.

Lake 3, Woodmore 0

ELMORE — Lake volleyball remained perfect at 10-0 overall and 6-0 in the Northern Buckeye Conference with a 25-7, 25-16, 25-16 sweep over Woodmore Thursday.

Lakeleaders were Taryn DeWese with 10 kills, Ella Vorst with 9 kills, and Vayda Delventhal with 13 assists.

Lake hosts Oak Harbor on Saturday.

Eastwood 3, Fostoria 0

FOSTORIA — Eastwood swept Fostoria, 25-9, 25-14, 25-14, in Northern Buckeye Conference volleyball Thursday.

For the Eagles, junior Nadia Miller had 12 kills, junior Joelle Jared had seven aces, and Miller, senior Morgan McMillan, junior Paige Hoodlebrink, and sophomore Addison Hartman had one block assist apiece.

Defensively, sophomore Kyrie Henline led the Eagles with 13 digs and supporting the offense, senior Hailey Hodulik had 16 assists and Hoodlebrink had 10 assists.

Eastwood improves to 8-2 overall and 5-1 in the NBC while the Redmen fell to 1-11 and 0-6.

Lake 2, Eastwood 0

MILLBURY — In Northern Buckeye Conference boys soccer Thursday, Lake shut out Eastwood, 2-0. The Flyers remain unbeaten at 7-0-1 and are 3-0-1 in the league.

Preston Snyder and Greyson Reed scored for the Flyers, and Jonathan Specht had an assist.

Eastwood falls to 1-7 overall and 1-3 in the NBC.

Genoa 8, Otsego 3

TONTOGANY — Genoa defeated Otsego, 8-3, Thursday in Northern Buckeye Conference boys soccer.

Markel Aranbarri scored twice for the Knights and Travis Merrill had one goal.

The Comets remain unbeaten at 7-0-2 overall and 4-0-1 in the NBC while Knights fell to 3-4 and 2-2.

Eastwood 1, Lake 0

PEMBERVILLE — The Eastwood girls soccer team, ranked 12th in the Division III state coaches’ poll, got a first half goal from junior Reilly Might, and it stood up as the Eagles defeated visiting Lake, 1-0, Thursday.

Eastwood sophomore goalkeeper Jordan Jensen had three saves to preserve the shutout as the Eagles improved to 7-0-1 overall and 4-0 in the Northern Buckeye Conference. Lake is 5-2 and 3-1.

Genoa 1, Otsego 0

GENOA — Despite 31 saves by Otsego senior goalkeeper Chesney Kuron, Genoa scored a first half goal to defeat the Knights in a Northern Buckeye Conference girls soccer match, 1-0, Thursday.

Genoa is 4-4-1 overall and 2-2 in the league while Otsego remains winless in six games, including four NBC games.

Perrysburg 168, Clay 175

OREGON — Perrysburg defeated Clay, 168-175, in a dual boys golf meet at Maumee Bay State Park Golf Course Thursday.

Perrysburg golfers were Kyle Ross (37), Jack Weisenburger (42), Mackeane Hanley (44) and Cody Schneider (45).

Lake 210, Eastwood 214

PERRYSBURG — In a dual girls golf meet at Crosswinds Golf Course Thursday, Lake edged Eastwood, 210-214.

Lake golfer Sarah Patrick was medalist shooting a 45. Other Lake golfers were Grace Collins (52), Abby Loving (52), and Addison Schultz (61).

Eastwood golfers were Mariah Hahn (46), Evelynn Hall (50), Mallory Kramer (54), Morgan Duquette (64) and Kailin Wargo (64).

Anthony Wayne 170, Sylvania Southview 221, Bowling Green 227

In a Northwest Ohio Girls Golf League meet at the par-36, 2,527-yard Stone Ridge Golf Club, Bowling Green (227) finished third behind Anthony Wayne (170) and Southview (221).

AW scores were Sophia Stanton (36), Madison Mitchell (41), Kennedy Kehres (43), Bella Moser (50), CeCe Stamm (52) and Teagan Leigh (68).

Southview scores were Sydney Sutton (49), Tayvian Walton (55), Evvie Jackson (55), Emma Curth (62) and Ashley O’Loughlin (68).

BG scores were Lily Pollock (48), Kennedy Brown (51), Deanna Burt (63), Brynn Wilhelm (65), Annie Urban (67) and Amelia Fletcher (68).

HOLLAND — In a Northern Lakes League tennis match Thursday, visiting Bowling Green swept Springfield, 5-0, to improve to 13-4.

In singles, Libby Barnett (BG) defeated Tristan Matthews 6-0, 6-1, Julia Barnett (BG) defeated Alli Sharp 6-0, 6-0 and Sarah Mathey (BG) defeated Riley Snyder 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles, Audrey Geyman and Hannah Mathey (BG) defeated Catherine Valore and Emily Cox 6-0,6-0 and Audra Hammer and Audrey Nester (BG) defeated Jenna Schad and Audri Hinz 6-1,6-1.
