The Wood County Sheriff’s Office 911 center has received outstanding results from the State of Ohio annual audit of the Public Safety Answering Point PSAP, according to a news release.
According to the Ohio Department of Administrative Services, Wood County is in full compliance with the PSAP Operation Rules.
The following statistics are in the report:
Jan. 1, 2022-July 31, 2022: 29,542 calls: 100% of calls were answered in 15 seconds
Aug. 1, 2021-Dec. 31, 2021: 24,648 calls: 100% of calls were answered in 10 seconds.
Wood County’s 911 System (all locations): Total 911 calls: 54,507 calls Total Non-Emergency: 168,821 calls
Wireline 6,694 calls
Wireless 47,010 calls
VoIP 138 calls
SMS/Text 126 calls
Unknown 267 calls
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office communication’s employees completed 771 hours of continuing education training (six hours for each dispatcher is state required) and includes emergency medical dispatch.
“The dispatchers are the lifeline between the public and first responders. The citizens of Wood County should be very pleased and proud of the dispatch service they are getting,” Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn said.
