A North Baltimore man has been indicted for voyeurism and, in a separate case, drug trafficking.

A Wood County grand jury on Oct. 5 indicted Shayne Michael Cary, 29, for voyeurism, a first-degree misdemeanor; pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person, a fourth-degree felony; and illegal use of a minor or impaired person in nudity-oriented material or performance, a fifth-degree felony.

On Feb. 16, 2021, Cary allegedly secretly videotaped, photographed or recorded a woman under or through her clothing with the purpose of viewing her body or undergarments.

On March 15, he is accused of possessing or viewing material that showed a minor in a state of nudity, and of selling or purchasing material that showed a minor participating in a sexual act.

In a separate case, Cary was indicted for trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, two counts possession of a fentanyl-related compound and possession of cocaine, all fifth-degree felonies. On March 15, he was accused of being in possession of and preparing for distribution both cocaine and a fentanyl-related compound as well as being in possession of Tramadol.

A Wood County grand jury presented 21 bills of indictment:

• Timothy P. Kazmaier, 33, last known address Perrysburg and currently in jail, for assault, a fifth-degree felony. On Aug. 9, he allegedly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a sheriff’s deputy. The offense was committed at the jail. He was in jail for an assault charge filed in Perrysburg Municipal Court.

• Jacob Tyler Halko, 21, Bowling Green, for failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony, and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse or a combination of them/OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor. On Sept. 4, a sheriff’s deputy observed a Toyota Camry parked on the side of the road on U.S. 6 near Sand Ridge Road. Upon approach, Halko said he was using the roadside as a restroom. The deputy detected a strong odor of alcohol and noted Halko had slurred speech, bloodshot eyes and admitted to consuming alcohol. Halko then fled the area, entered northbound I-75 traveling in the southbound lanes. He crossed the median and exited at Wooster Street then traveled eastbound before turning south on Dunbridge Road. As he attempted to turn west onto Napoleon Road, he was traveling at such a high speed he entered the field. He attempted to reenter Dunbridge Road but crashed into a ditch.

• Michael James Condon, 44, Toledo, for two counts breaking and entering, both fifth-degree felonies. On Aug. 8 in the 27000 block of Helen Drive, Perrysburg, he was found asleep in a camper he allegedly broke into while it was parked at a self-storage lot. On April 27, he allegedly entered an undisclosed unoccupied structure with the purpose to commit theft.

• Justin Case Smith, 39, Perrysburg, for trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine, both fifth-degree felonies. On July 19, he allegedly was found in possession of and was preparing for distribution less than 5 grams of cocaine.

• Juan Trujillo Jr., 51, Bowling Green and currently in jail, for felonious assault, a second-degree felony, and three counts domestic violence, all first-degree misdemeanors. On Sept. 1, he allegedly caused a fractured nose by striking a female household member. He also allegedly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to two other household members.

• Rina M. Ballez, 44, Bowling Green, for illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified government facility and possession of cocaine, both third-degree felonies. On July 24, she allegedly was found in possession of less than 20 grams of cocaine after knowingly conveying or attempting to convey in into the jail after being arrested for OVI.

• Bryan Wayne Short, 45, of Portage and currently in jail, for grand theft of a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property, both fourth-degree felonies; and failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony. On Sept. 2, he allegedly took a 2007 Chevy Silverado from another Portage resident. On Sept. 4, police initiated a traffic stop on the reported stolen truck and Short allegedly failed to comply and led police on a short pursuit. He told police he took the vehicle because he thought the owner was trying to kill him.

• Ryan Christopher Snyder, 31, Bowling Green, for disrupting public service, a fourth-degree felony, and domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor. On Sept. 3, he is accused of grabbing a woman and throwing her to the ground and then allegedly impairing the ability of law enforcement to respond to an emergency.

• Rodney Demonta Reeves, 39, Knoxville, Tennessee, for failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony. On Aug. 15, a traffic stop was attempted on I-75 near Bowling Green after Reeves allegedly committed a traffic violation. He didn’t stop and a pursuit ensued with speeds reaching 110 mph. Stop sticks disabled his two front tires. He exited on County Road 99 in Hancock County and was taken into custody.

• Taylor Madison Michalski, 25, Toledo, for escape, a fifth-degree felony. On July 14, he purposely broke detention or failed to return after a temporary leave was granted. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

• Joshua S. Ankney, 42, Oregon, for theft, a fifth-degree felony. On June 21, he allegedly deprived Dollar General of $4,536 without consent.

• Derrick Dawhawn Peeples, 26, Columbus, for having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony; improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony; and possession of marijuana, a minor misdemeanor. Peeples was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for speeding. A probable cause search reportedly revealed a loaded Glock 17 pistol concealed in a Chipotle bag that was accessible to the operator or passenger without leaving the vehicle. A 30-round magazine of ammunition was found in Peeples’ backpack and a small amount of marijuana was allegedly found on his person. He had been convicted of assault in Franklin County in 2016.

• Dwight Joseph Elliott Ballard, 46, Toledo, for aggravated trafficking in drugs, a first-degree felony, and aggravated possession of drugs, a second-degree felony. On Dec. 30, he allegedly was found in possession of and was preparing for distribution five times the bulk amount of methamphetamine.

• Kimberly Rose Whaley, 49, Toledo, for trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound and possession of a fentanyl-related compound, both fourth-degree felonies; and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse or a combination of them/OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor. On June 23, she allegedly was found in possession of and was preparing for distribution more than one gram but less than five grams of a fentanyl-related compound. She also at the time was reportedly operating a vehicle while under the influence, her second such offense in 10 years.

• Donovan Raheem Robinson, 29, Columbus, for improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony; and aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. On Sept. 2, he allegedly transported a loaded Smith & Wesson in a manner that the gun was accessible to him or a passenger without leaving the vehicle. He also allegedly had in his possession Bromazolam. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
