Ronald James Dyal, 67, of Pemberville, Ohio, died peacefully October 9, 2022, at Northwest Ohio Hospice.

He was born August 11, 1955, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Glenna and James Dyal, the second of 4 children. After graduating from Penta County Vocational High School in 1973 where he studied carpentry, he married Patricia Self, who survives and had two children, Sherry and Jimmy. He later married Peggy Echler of Delta, Ohio and became grandpa to Garrett, Alex, Kody, Reese, Maverick, and Dax.

Much of Ron’s working life was in manufacturing, spending over 30 years with Johns-Manville. Beyond work, Ron enjoyed the country life and small-town America.

Ron was an avid outdoorsman going back to his teenage years where he trapped and hunted. His love of the outdoors remained with him his entire life. Ron was a staunch advocate for the pleasures of his country home and lifestyle. He shared his love of sport shooting with his grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. He also loved to pull a good prank as many of his friends can attest to. Along with his good humor Ron was the guy that would always help. He was always there for his family, for his friends and anyone in need.

He is survived by his wife Peggy, his daughter Sherry Zemenski of Toledo, Ohio; son Jimmy Dyal of Warsaw, Indiana.; grandchildren, Shelby Zemenski of Toledo, Ohio,; Hannah Zemenski of Oregon, Ohio; brothers, Dick (Caren) Dyal, of Bentonville, Arkansas; Steve (Billie) Dyal of Naples, Florida and sister Sheila (Steve) Jagodzinski of Swanton Ohio; brother-in law, Frank Echler and wife, Judy, sister-in-law, Jill Halpin; great-grandsons Klayton and Viktor as well as many cousins, nephews and nieces.

Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Glenna; and his father; James and brother-in-law, Mike Halpin.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 15, at 10 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m., at Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home located at 4094 State Route 105 in Pemberville, Ohio.
