Francis’ 4 goals propels No. 3 Perrysburg

NAPOLEON — Perrysburg senior Adelle Francis had 10 points on four goals and two assists as the Yellow Jackets routed Napoleon, 11-0, in Northern Lakes League girls soccer Wednesday.

Perrysburg junior Avery Zeisloft had two goals and an assist, freshman Kinsley Jones scored twice, and freshman Emma Ogdahl had one goal and two assists.

Freshman Camille Francis had a goal and an assist; senior Michaela Christie scored and seniors Lauren Kepp, Maci Maxwell and Elena Neceski added one assist each.

Perrysburg, ranked third in the Division I state coaches’ poll, improves to 10-0-5 overall and 4-0-2 in the league while Napoleon falls to 1-11 and 0-5.

The Michigan State-bound Adelle Francis now leads Perrysburg with 55 points on 25 goals and five assists.

Ogdahl has five goals and nine assists, Maxwell has seven goals and three assists, Zeisloft had five goals and seven assists, Camille Francis had four goals and four assists and Neceski has seven assists.

Sylvania Southview 6, Bowling Green 0

Southview improved to 10-2-2 overall and 5-1 in the Northern Lakes League by defeating Bowling Green, 6-0, Wednesday at Bobcat Stadium.

For the Cougars, Talir Lynam had a three-goal hat trick, Carys Bourbeau scored twice and Lauren Katalinich added one goal. The Bobcats drop to 7-9 and 2-4.

Deal medalist, Jackets advance

TOLEDO — Perrysburg junior Sydney Deal shot 37-35—72 at Heather DownsCountry Club to earn medalist honors at the Division I sectional golf meet Wednesday.

Deal beat out Toledo St. Ursula senior Payton Donnelly (36-37—73) by one stroke.

Deal led Perrysburg to a third-place finish with 370 strokes to finish behind St. Ursula (318) and Toledo Notre Dame (343).

Those three teams, along with Anthony Wayne (377) and Clay (409) advance to the district meet.

Other Perrysburg golfers were junior Olivia Eiseman (44-51—95), junior Ariyah Ellis (46-50—96), junior Paige Feldkamp (54-53—107) and junior Mia Moffitt (54-53—107).

BG’s Pollick advances to districts

ARLINGTON — The Bowling Green girls golf team scored 442 to finish eighth at the Division I girls sectional meet at Sycamore Springs Golf Course.

BG junior golfer Lily Pollick shot 49-50—99 and will advance as an individual to the district meet.

Other BG golfers were sophomore Sophie Fruth (57-46—103), senior Kennedy Brown 53-570—110), sophomore Annie Urban (65-65—130) and senior Amelia Fletcher (76-65—141).

The top five teams, Lexington (364), Ashland (367), Celina (381), Findlay (387) and Ontario (394), advanced to the district tournament.

Rounding out team scores were Wapakoneta (426), Lima Shawnee (433), BG, Clyde (463), Norwalk (464), Tiffin Columbian (467), Fremont Ross (508), Sandusky (528) and Mansfield Senior (602).
