Explore Minecraft with others
The Children’s Place of the Wood County District Public Library is hosting a monthly Minecraft Mania
Program for ages 9-16 years old on Friday from 4 to 5 p.m.  
Youth can learn more about Minecraft and share ideas, plan, and create together within the Minecraft
World on a library server or bring their own device with their own Minecraft account to share strategies
and demonstrate to newbies how to play.  
Minecraft is a popular online video game that encourages players to build, create and interact within a
shared world and is being used as a teaching tool within classrooms and public libraries.

‘Break-It Make-It with Home Depot’
Youth, ages 10 and up, are invited to the Children’s Place of the Wood County District Public Library for
another "Break It and Make It with Home Depot" on Saturday from 2 to 3 p.m.
This monthly hands-on program and partnership between the Children’s Place and Team Depot will
deconstruct, investigate, and tinker with various gadgets. All tools and safety equipment will be

Legopalooza at the library
Families are invited to the monthly Legopalooza program at the Children’s Place of the Wood County
District Public Library on Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m.   
The library staff will share its Lego collection along with stories and books for creative ideas.

Movie and Mrs. Claus this month at Kaubisch Library
FOSTORIA – The youth services department at Kaubisch Memorial Public Library will be showing the movie
"Guardians of the Galaxy" on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the McClean Room. The movie is rated
PG-13.
Seating will be available first come, first served. No registration required. Call the library at

There will be a Christmas program on Dec. 18 at 6 p.m. on the children’s floor (fifth level). Mrs. Claus

Toledo Zoo offers winter camps for children
Toledo, Ohio- Kids stuck at home with nothing to do? The Toledo Zoo will fix that. On Saturday and Dec.
20, and during the winter break week (Dec. 29, 30 and 31), the zoo offers winter camps.
•    Ages 5-12, Campers ages 5 through 12 can enroll in camps one day, two or all the days. Camps run
from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
Winter Wild-land is Saturday and Dec. 20 and for ages 5-10 years. Children will experience tour exhibits,
visit with animals and make cool crafts.
Winter Wild Artist is Dec. 29. Create wild art using paint, paper and clay. Exhibit them with an art show
at the end of the day.
Cool Animals in Cold Places is Dec. 31. Travel from South Pole to North Pole and discover animals that
love to live out in the cold.
•    Ages 11-12 years
Winter Wild-land is Saturday and Dec. 20. Children will experience tour exhibits, visit with animals and
make cool crafts.
Junior Zookeeper is Dec. 29-31. Experience what it takes to be a keeper firsthand. Learn about preparing
diets, cleaning enclosures, training behaviors and making enrichment.

Princesses invited to tea party
FINDLAY – Visit the Children’s Museum of Findlay on Dec. 28 for a grand time of entertainment and
pampering.
Little princesses will be treated like royalty, dining on tasty morsels from Bread Kneads, getting hair
and nails professionally done by volunteers from Reflections Salon and dancing with some of her all-time
favorite princesses.
Wearing formal attire or princess dress to the event is encouraged. The festivities will last from 1 to 4
p.m.
Admission to this event costs $25 for members and $35 for non-members, and includes one adult and one
child. There will be a charge of $10 per additional guest for members and $15 per guest for non-members.

The Children’s Museum of Findlay is a museum just for kids. Hands-on exhibits help children aged birth to
10 years old learn about science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics through a variety of
activities.
The exhibits create a fun and safe learning environment where kids, their parents, and grandparents can
all play together, make new friends, and learn new things.
