Make a Help Me Grow Playdate
Parents and caregivers with young children are invited to the January Help Me Grow playdate at the
Children’s Place of the Wood County District Public Library, 251 N. Main St., on Monday from 10-11 a.m.

This session, open to everyone, offers stories, playtime and community support resources. For more

Play at open gym time
WESTON — Sonlight Church and Community Center, 19920 Sand Ridge Road, will hold an open gym for children
in grades six through high school every Sunday from 6:30-8 p.m.
Children in grades one through five can come on Tuesdays from 6:30-8 p.m.
Bring out your inner artist
PERRYSBURG — Homeschoolers’ Afternoon Adventures: Watercolor Wonders will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at
Way Public Library, 101 E. Indiana Ave.
Children ages 5-7 are invited to bring out their inner artist in a fun painting project that will add a
splash of color to any room.

Hear a story in Rossford
ROSSFORD — Winter storytimes start Tuesday at the library, 720 Dixie Hwy.
1-2-3 Read! (1-3 year olds) is Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. or Wednesdays at 10 a.m., starting next week through
Feb. 26.
Storytime (4-6 year olds) is Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., starting next week through Feb. 26.

New club discusses graphic novels
PERRYSBURG — Teen Graphic Novel Club will meet Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Way Public Library, 101 E. Indiana
Ave.
Teens age 12-16 can read a chosen graphic novel and then come to the library for book discussion and
themed snacks.
This month’s selection is “The Stonekeeper” the first book in the Amulet series by Kazu Kibuishi.
After the tragic death of their father, Emily and Navin move with their mother to the home of her
deceased great-grandfather, but the strange house proves to be dangerous. Before long, a sinister
creature lures the kids’ mom through a door in the basement. Em and Navin, desperate not to lose her,
follow her into an underground world inhabited by demons, robots, and talking animals. Eventually, they
enlist the help of a small mechanical rabbit named Miskit. Together with Miskit, they face the most
terrifying monster of all, and Em finally has the chance to save someone she loves.

Movie showing at Pemberville
PEMBERVILLE — There will be a showing of “The Addams Family (2019)” on Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. in the
library, 375 E. Front St.
This PG-rated movie is 86 minutes long. Everyone is welcome and may bring a snack.
3D printing for kids
PERRYSBURG — Interested in learning more about 3D printing?
Children ages 8-12 may used Tinkercad to design and print 3D models. The program will be held Thursday at
4:15 p.m. at Way Public Library, 101 E. Indiana Ave.
If you already have a Tinkercad account, be sure to bring log-in information. Otherwise, we’ll have
everything you need available at the program.
