BG women 29th in poll
The Bowling Green women’s basketball team is 29th with 20 points in the USA Today poll this week. The
poll is elsewhere on this page.
Falcon golfers finish 10th
HOOVER, Ala. – The Bowling Green men’s golf team finished 10th Tuesday in the Samford Invitational.
For the three rounds, the Falcons had a 66-over-par total of 930. The University of South Alabama won the
16-team event with an 891 total.
BG’s scores were: Brett Rinker, 229, tied for 22nd; Joe Cooper and Chris Melvin, 236, tied for 43rd; Jose
Narro, 239, tied for 54rd; and Ryan Triller, tied for 76, 246.
Lake athletics boosters plan reverse raffle
MILLBURY – The Lake Athletic Boosters is holding its 22nd annual reverse raffle and dinner on March 22 at
the Millbury Fireman’s Hall.
Doors open 6 p.m. with dinner at approximately at 7 p.m.
The raffle tickets are $80, which includes dinner, with additional guests for dinner are $30.
The grand prize is $2,500 with additional prizes and raffles awarded throughout the evening.
Persons must be 21 years old to attend.

Woodmore seeks boys basketball coach

coach.

Gill honored by OCCAC
Owens Community College’s Bikramjit Gill is the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference men’s
basketball player of the week.
The sophomore forward averaged 24.5 points, 14 rebounds, three blocks, 1.5 steals and 1.5 assists in wins
over Cuyahoga Community College and Sinclair Community College.
Owens softball canceled
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Owens Community College’s softball team had its two games canceled Tuesday because
of cold weather.
