BG men win MAC semifinal
Bowling Green State University’s men’s soccer team was a 3-2 winner in overtime over West Virginia in a
Mid-American Conference tournament semifinal.
Sophomore Max Auden scored the game-winner for the Falcons in the first minute of overtime.
Bowling Green, 14-5-1, will play the winner of Akron-Western Michigan for the MAC title on Sunday at 1
p.m. in Akron.
BG competes at regional cross meet
Bowling Green State University’s men’s and women’s cross country teams placed 26th and 13th,
respectively, in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional cross country meet hosted by the University of Wisconsin
Friday.
Becca Rae led the women with a 64th-place finish in 21:27, while Kohl Taberner led the men with a
106th-place finish in 32:20.
Falcon volleyball loses
Bowling Green State University’s volleyball team fell 25-20, 25-20, 25-14 to Ohio in Mid-American
Conference action
With the loss the Falcons are officially eliminated from MAC Tournament contention.
Madeline Garda led Bowling Green with 25 digs.
Owens men win
Owens Community College’s men’s basketball team was a 106-97 winner over Muskegon Community College
Friday night.
The Express, ranked No. 8, improved to 5-0 as Kenny Jones had 29 points and 13 rebounds.
Walleye beat Fort Wayne
The Toledo Walleye posted a 6-2 win over Fort Wayne Friday night in the Huntington Center.
Toledo scored four power-play goals as it improved to 7-2 on the season.
Toledo goaltender Jeff Lerge stopped 34-of-36 shots.
