Owens athletes honored
Austin Combs and Talal Farhan from Owens Community College’s men’s soccer team earned offensive and
defensive player of the week honors, respectively, for the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference.

Combs had two goals and three assists in last week’s win over Lorain County, while Farhan, a freshman
goalkeeper, didn’t allow a goal in 79 minutes of action against Lorain.
Erika Hartings, a freshman on the Express volleyball team, was also named player of the week in the
OCCAC.
Hartings had 82 kills, 23 digs and 18 blocks in six matches last week, in which Owens went 3-3.
