Shirley J. Shultz, age 62, of Fostoria, Ohio, passed away Saturday (July 5, 2014) at her home.
She was born on October 8, 1951 in Tiffin, Ohio to the late Charles and JoAnne (Henniger) Williams Jr.
Shirley married Alonzo B. Shultz Jr. on June 15, 1973 in Gibsonburg, Ohio.
Surviving Shirley are her loving husband of 41 years, Alonzo; son, Brian (Stacee) Shultz of Pemberville,
Ohio; daughter, Wendy Harris of Fostoria, Ohio; brother, Ron Williams of Fostoria, Ohio; grandchildren,
Allen (Lorena) Shultz of Hawaii, Ashleigh and Samantha Tefft, both of Fostoria, Ohio; and
great-grandchild Diego.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and JoAnne; infant daughter, JoEllen; and brother,
Michael C. Williams.
Shirley was a 1969 graduate of Bettsville High School. She then became a laborer, working at Whirlpool in
Findlay, Kroger’s in Fostoria, and then she worked in food service at the Bowling Green State University
and then at the University of Findlay.
Shirley was a former Auxiliary member at the Bradner Fire Department.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday (July 8, 2014) at Barndt Funeral Home in
Wayne, Ohio, where a Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday (July 9, 2014) at 11 a.m.
with Pastor Ron Merritt officiating.
Burial will be in Bradner Cemetery.
Immediately following the services there will be a bereavement luncheon at the Church of the Good
Shepherd in Wayne.
Memorial donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Brain Aneurysm
Foundation.
