Prep roundup: Perrysburg’s Baroncini finishes 9th at state meet

HEBRON — Perrysburg’s Marc Baroncini earned all-Ohio honors with a top-1o finish at the Division I boys
state cross country meet held at the National Trail Raceway on Saturday.
Baroncini, who finished ninth, led the Yellow Jackets’ boys team with a time of 15:41.4. The team
finished 16th of 20 teams.
Perrysburg’s girls cross country team placed 12th out of 20 teams competing at the Division I girls state
meet.
Eastwood senior Luke Coffman, competing in his third career state cross country meet, finished 43rd with
a time of 16:41.2 in the Division II boys race.
Aubrey Duhaime led Perrysburg’s girls with a time of 19:25.4 to finish 63rd overall. Teammate Destiney
Rose was close behind with a time of 19:30.1 to finish 71st.
Also running for the Yellow Jackets’ girls were Hailey Lambdin (100th, 19:48.1), Ella Sibbersen (104th,
19:50.3), Brooke Daudelin (122nd, 20:04.9), Sophie Smith (140th, 20:20.6) and Olivia Fenneken (141st,
20:22.4).
Following Baroncini for the Perrysburg boys team was Austin Cunningham in 44th with a time of 16:10.6.

Ben Keller was the next to place for the Yellow Jackets’ boys team clocking a time of 16:54.8 to finish
124th. Also running was Chris Grycza (130th, 16:55.8), Alex Montross (168th, 17:24.2), Trevor Dunham
(173rd, 17:34.7) and Kieffer Doore (182nd, 17:47.2).
Coffman, who placed 34th a year ago, improved on his time by 35 seconds after finishing in 17:16.2 last
season.
