Car/pole crash results in injury
HOYTVILLE – At least one person was hurt when a vehicle struck a utility pole on Ohio 18 west of the
village this morning.
The vehicle struck the pole at approximately 7:30 a.m. at Route 18 and Roundhead Road. Electric lines
were reportedly live at the scene.
One individual was reportedly taken to an area hospital for treatment. Additional details were not
available this morning.
BGPD investigates sexual assault
Bowling Green Police are investigating the report of a sexual assault that occurred in the city over the
weekend.
Police Chief Brad Conner said this morning that the incident, between a male suspect and a female victim,
allegedly occurred during the early morning hours on Saturday.
The victim reportedly left the city following the incident and sought treatment at a hospital near her
home.
Conner said that the incident reportedly took place in an off-campus apartment, and that the victim was
familiar with the suspect in the case.
BPU meeting canceled
The meeting of the Bowling Green Board of Public Utilities originally scheduled for Monday has been
canceled due to a lack of official business for board action.
Angry man really wanted pizza
A man angry that a restaurant was closed early Tuesday reportedly wiped his buttocks on a vehicle at the
business in protest.
The incident occurred at Marco’s Pizza, 1045 N. Main St., around 12:20 a.m.
Police were told that when the shop was closing an unknown white male became upset that the restaurant
was closed, and threw a soft drink bottle at the restaurant’s window, causing no damage.
The man reportedly then wiped his bare buttocks on the vehicle of one of the delivery drivers.
The man then left the scene in a black Dodge Magnum.
BGMS student stabs another with pencil
A Bowling Green Middle School student may face charges after reportedly stabbing another with a pencil.

The incident was reported by school officials Thursday but had occurred Oct. 17. The student reportedly
stabbed another with a pencil, causing what were called  minor scratches.
A report of the incident was to be forwarded to the juvenile prosecutor for possible charges.
