Wood County District Public Library in Bowling Green is hosting several events for book lovers in
December.
The Read for Inspiration book group, facilitated by Deb Born, meets Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the
Reading Lounge on the library’s second floor to discuss "Gideon’s Gift" by Karen Kingsbury.

The Diversity in America book group meets Dec. 9 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss "The Round House" by
Louise Erdrich. Led by Jim Litwin, this group meets at the Carter House, 307 N. Church St., directly
behind the library.
Members of all the library’s book groups and all interested readers are invited to a Book Group Holiday
at the Carter House, Dec. 16 at 10:30 a.m.
Author Luke Nichter will be at WCDPL Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. to talk about "The Nixon Tapes," the book
co-written with Douglas Brinkley. Currently a professor of history at Texas A&M, Nichter grew up
in Wood County (as did Brinkley) and holds degrees from BGSU. He will take questions from the audience
following his talk and be available to sign books.
Copies of "The Nixon Tapes" may be purchased from the Friends of the Library at the event.
All events are free and open to all.
