ROSSFORD – The Glass City Balloon Race will return to Rossford in September.
The Glass City Balloon Race has grown tremendously over the past three years, from its inception in
Maumee, a move to Perrysburg, and last year’s event in Rossford.
This year’s 4th annual Glass City Balloon Race & Medical Mutual Festival will return to
Crossroads Parkway and will feature hot air balloons, food, music, fun and family-friendly activities.

Ten hot air balloons are currently scheduled to take to the skies for four flights and two static display
evening glow events.
The Glass City Balloon Race will kick off at 7 a.m. on Sept. 27 with a media flight launch from the
property just east of Total Sports Rossford.
Other events include:
● Food Truck Row, featuring 20 food trucks
● Expanded Beer Garden
● Concerts – Mustang Sally takes the stage on Friday evening followed by the Menus on Saturday
● Fireworks – Nightly shows will follow each of the Balloon Glows
● Kids Zone – Inflatables and carnival rides sponsored and hosted in Total Sports parking lot
Also, take a helicopter ride, browse vendor booths and enjoy the After-Party at Reset.
The two-day flight schedule has balloons launching Friday morning at 7 a.m. Evening festivities kick off
at 4 pm on Friday and 3 p.m. on Saturday with concerts and balloon launches at 6 p.m. both Friday and
Saturday. Balloon glows will run from 8-9 p.m. with fireworks to follow and more music.
The entire event is free including parking at designated areas throughout Crossroads in Rossford with
shuttle service provided.
An up-to-date schedule will be maintained on the Glass City Balloon Race website at
