Denver Kominek

Denver Kominek was a Bowling Green native.
He was born on September 30, 1956 to Constance (Sternaman) and Charles Kominek.
He left home in 1975 when he enlisted in the U.S. Army. After his time in the Army, he returned to
Bowling Green to work for the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, eventually becoming a deputy. Denver was
baptized into Christ at the age of 23 and although he never formally joined a church, he continued to
study the Bible throughout his life and share the faith with others.
He died on October 9, 2019 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ormy, of Port Richey, FL.
He is survived by 2 sons, Jason and John Kominek, of Bowling Green; his brothers, Chuck of Galion and
Jerry of Sylvania; and his half brother, Joe Kominek and half sister, Julie Pierce of Portage.
A Celebration of Life was held on Oct. 13, 2019.
