The Wood County Committee on Aging (WCCOA) will receive approximately 150 donated bouquets of flowers
from the Kiwanis Club’s Showers of Flowers for Children program to be given to home-delivered meal
clients in Wood County.
Bouquets of wrapped daffodils and tulips will be delivered to the WCCOA’s Production Kitchen on Monday.

The bouquets will be sent out with WCCOA home-delivered meal drivers to be distributed to older adults
across Wood County.
"We are very happy to have this generous donation from the Kiwanis Club’s Showers of Flowers for
Children program," said Angie Bradford, director of food service for WCCOA. "The bouquets will
surely brighten the day of our home-delivered meal clients."
Individuals and organizations have donated money for the flower bouquets to go to the home-bound, elderly
and sick. Proceeds will go towards the children’s area at the Black Swamp Arts Festival, held in Bowling
Green every September.
The Bowling Green Kiwanis Club has a long history of successful children’s projects including the castle
in the Wood County District Public Library’s children’s room, the Children’s Discovery Garden and the
Kiwanis Kids Clubhouse at the BG Community Center. For more information regarding the BG Kiwanis contact
