Wilbur L. "Doc" Dill, 92, of Bowling Green, OH, went home to be with his Lord November 28, 2014
at Heritage Corner Health Care.
He was born February 26, 1922 in Custar, OH to Floyd and Rosina (Pauff) Dill.
Doc served his country in the U.S. Army from 1942 – 1946. He was a member of Plain Congregational Church,
a charter member of the BG Lions Club, and a former member of the Mid Am Bank advisory board. Doc held a
weekly Bible study for many years at his home.
Doc began his career as a jeweler and a watchmaker in 1949 when he opened Dill Jewelers in Bowling Green.
After he retired in 1993 he continued repairing clocks, even making house calls until age 90.  
Doc is survived by his daughters, Jackie (Bob) Peinert of Bowling Green, OH, Marsha (Tom) McCready of
Dublin, OH and Diane (Bob) Kirtley of Ormond Beach, FL, grandchildren, Jennifer (Troy) Weaver, Angie
(Jamie) Weber, Andrew (Heather) Hicks, Adam (Katrina) Peinert, Julie Kirtley and Ben Kirtley,
great-grandchildren, Gage, Carter and Annie Weaver, Maggie and Grace Weber, Emma, Hailey, Ava and Isaac
Hicks, Charlotte Peinert, Layne and Chase Mouch, and Keirstynne Agos, sisters, Doris Hockenberger and
Joan (Milt) Boxley, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Elda (Peters), wife Jan (Meeker), special friend Mary Jane Mears,
and sister, Leona Anderson.
Friends and family may visit Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12
noon at Plain Congregational Church, Bowling Green, Ohio. Pastor Steve Baney will officiate. Interment
will follow at Plain Twp. Cemetery.
The family encourages memorial contributions to Plain Church, Bowling Green Senior Center or Bridge
Hospice, Bowling Green.
