Bowling Green Police have issued a warrant for a city man in connection to an October 2013, burglary that
spurred an aerial hunt for a suspect.
Maj. Tony Hetrick said that a warrant for aggravated burglary has been issued for Michael Bernard Davis,
36, whose last known address was on Wallace Avenue.
The incident occurred Oct. 8 when a homeowner return ed to his residence in the 1400 block of Sand Ridge
Road to find a subject inside. After reportedly "having words" the subject fled with
undisclosed property and reportedly darted into a cornfield.
Police, Wood County Sheriff’s deputies and Ohio State Patrol troopers created a perimeter that extended
as far as the Stone Ridge Golf Course off of West Wooster Street in searching for the subject, and a
patrol helicopter was called in to assist.
A backpack containing property believed to be involved in the incident was later found on South
Wintergarden Road by a homeowner. Hetrick said this morning that DNA on clothes in the backpack led them
to Davis.
