Wanda Jean Lambert

Wanda Jean Lambert, age 87, of Bowling Green, previously of Springfield, passed away Sunday, November 16,
2014.
She was born on July 24, 1927 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Walter E. and Grace (Wilson) Sions.
In addition to her parents, Wanda is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Olen Lambert
and her son-in-law, Joseph Mills.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughters, Sondra (Russell) Bates and Linda Mills; sister,
Freda Roberts; grandchildren, Gary (April) Bates, Jennifer (Michael) Brian, and Jodie (Dexter) Peters;
great-grandchildren, Cary Beth (Matt), Monica, Alex, Tyler, Mychela, Gabriella, Jenna, Amira, Adam, and
Josiah and a great-great granddaughter, Elizabeth Grace as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended
loving family and friends.
Wanda graduated in 1945 from South High School.
She was a co-owner of Lambert’s Body Shop Inc. where she served as secretary and treasurer.
She retired from Community Health Care in 1993 and was a former employee of Wren’s Department Store, Dr.
Sally Abbott’s office, and J.C. Penney Company.
Wanda enjoyed fishing, traveling with her family, baking and cooking for her family, her grandchildren
were her the light of her life and she bowled in leagues into her 80s.
She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was active in organizing the church
bazaar every year and was a member of Eastern Star in Springfield.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at JACKSON LYTLE
& LEWIS FUNERAL HOME, Springfield, with the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m.
Burial to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may to made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Wanda’s memory.
