Three people were arrested in Bowling Green after what police are calling a drug-related theft at Home
Depot Tuesday morning.
The Bowling Green Police Division was called to the South Main Street store at 2 p.m. after the report of
a shoplifting incident.
Kenneth Schaade, 50, Deshler, had reportedly hidden several plumbing items in his coat and attempted to
leave the store with them. He was arrested for shoplifting and taken to jail.
Two people with Schaade, Kayla Schaade, 26, Mount Vernon, and Brendan Mavis, 23, Delaware, were found to
be wanted on receiving stolen property warrants out of Delaware and also were taken to jail.
Police Chief Brad Conner said the theft is believed to be drug-related, and that a plastic bag of
suspected drugs was found in a vehicle being used by the trio.
The substance was to be sent out for testing.
