BGSU women’s soccer drops opener
Bowling Green State University’s women’s soccer team fell 2-1 to Morehead State University in its season
opener Friday night.
The Falcons took a 1-0 lead early in the first half on a goal from freshman midfielder Madison Schupbach.

BG travels to Michigan Sunday for a contest with the seventh-ranked Wolverines.
Owens volleyball splits
WISCONSIN DELLS, Wisc. – Owens Community College’s volleyball team split a pair of matches to open its
season in the Battle for the Dells Invitational.
Owens won its first match, 20-25, 25-20, 24-26, 26-24, 15-10 over Waubonsee Community College, and
dropped its second match, 26-24, 25-19,23-25, 25-15 to No. 9 Des Moines Area Community College.
Eastwood High School graduate Aricka LaVoy had three aces in the first match and 12 digs in the second.
