Southview too much for Jackets

In the first Northern Lakes League League game of the season, Southview defeated Perrysburg 60-47 to
remain undefeated.
Jerimiah Roberts led the way with 24 points for the Cougars while Zach Schrock and Trevor Hafner led the
Yellow Jackets with 16 and 13 points, respectively.
A 34-point first half by the Cougars proved to be too much to overcome as Perrysburg trailed 34-23.
Southview is 2-0, as Perrysburg falls to 1-2.
BASKETBALL
BOYS
Mohawk 39, Otsego 40
In Mohawk, Otsego defeated the Warriors on a buzzer-beating layup by Parker Vollmar.
Leading 31-28 to start the fourth quarter, the Knights were out-scored 11-7 before their last-second shot
to win. Hunter Carson led the way for Knights with 13 points while Josh Horseman added 10.
Otsego is 1-1, Mohawk is 0-2.
GIRLS
Rossford 77, Maumee 36
In Rossford, the Bulldogs won their second game of the season in a nonleague contest, led by Cheyenne
Davis’ 27 points.
Jumping out to a 23-12 lead after the first quarter and leading 39-20 at halftime, Rossford never looked
back. The team combined for seven 3-pointers, including five in the first half.
Rossford is 2-2, Maumee is 0-4.
WRESTLING
Otsego 42, Genoa 29;
Otsego 54, Woodmore 25
Otsego’s wrestling team won two Northern Buckeye Conference dual meets.
Winning both matches for the Knights were Buddy Limes (138), Trenton Soto (145), Austin Glosser (152),
Riley Tercha (160), Collin Kitchen (182), Trevor Toney (195), and Dillon Farley (220).
NBC QUAD
Elmwood went 2-0 while Eastwood and Rossford each went 1-1 and Lake was 0-2 in an NBC quad meet.
The Royals improved to 5-2 in duals this season.

Otsego beat Rossford 33-14. Brynne Limes led the Knights with 11 points.
BOYS
Perrysburg beat Springfield 36-20. Jackson Sizemore led the Jackets (5-0) with 10 points.
