PINEHURST, N.C. — Bowling Green High School graduate Caroline Powers shot a 6-over-par 76 Thursday in the
first round of the U.S. Women’s Open at Pinehurst No. 2.
She went out in 4-over 39 on the back nine and finished with a 2-over 37 on the front nine.
Powers tees off at 2:31 p.m. in Friday’s second round.
